Drivers Beware

Drivers Beware is simply a website to allow users to post (when it’s safe) about drivers they encounter that are not being safe.  You can publish the plate number, make and model of car, and even a photo if you wish to submit at driversbeware dot com.  

Simply list what they were doing, and what made it unsafe like this:

“Encountered new red Mustang, MN ABC-143 driving recklessly and cutting other drivers off along 94 Westbound near White Bear Avenue.  The driver was not using their blinkers, and making unsafe lane changes”

What will not be tolerated is profanities, and sexual, racial or otherwise descriptive language to discredit the drivers character.  We’ll save that for the pending tickets they’ll end up with.

This can be as real-time as we all make it.  Post about traffic accidents, where/when etc.  Post about road construction or otherwise notable driving delays, or even poor road conditions.  Granted there are weather and traffic cams out there, as well as drivers reporting this information back to the DOT, but why not get a grassroots system running, be more detailed, up-to-date and informative

The mission of this website is partly to point out some of the drivers on the roads today that really need to re-evaluate how they drive before they hurt or kill themselves, or someone else in the process.  This is not intended to gang up on drivers, or harass them by any means, however maybe their buddy will come across this site, see a picture of the car and say “Hey, you need to check yourself man, you’re gunna hurt someone”  If we can generate awareness to even decrease accidents by 1 a year, yes, just one, potentially fatal accident, then it’s worth the 10 bucks a year to GoDaddy for the name.
